"So why do you think..Crater..sent us off to go Spelunking?" Iliad asked, letting his thoughts develop as sentences, the newly discovered name of his rider still uncomfortable on the tongue.

The words spoken by the spined Innola echoed throughout the large and seemingly empty cave, rattling back several times to hit Inferno, the maned Innola being the only other visible living creature within the cave. As the words hit him, Inferno, couldn't help but ask himself the same question. The mannerism of their rider, of whom they had recently discovered, or rather, been told, the identity of, had been off that morning. His request for them to go cave-exploring throughout the afternoon had also been rather odd, especially considering neither Innola had explored a cave before. Neither Innola had ever really wanted to go cave exploring, both much more content out in the open forests, rather than the cramped darkness of a cave. Regardless, Crater had sent the two Innola off to go spelunking, and that, unfortunately for the Innola, was what they were doing. "No clue why he sent us. No reason to go hunkering around in a cave. Should've forced us to go hunting. That actually has a purpose. Getting food. What could be the purpose of this? Wasting time?" Inferno grumbled, his low tones making a bellowing echo throughout the cave, one of which seemed to almost make the sharp rocks dangling on the roof begin to shake.

Sensing the movement, Iliad glanced up at the rocky ceiling of the cave, and then over at Inferno, harshly whispering, "Inferno, be quiet. You don't want to cause a cave-in."

Inferno gave a small huff at Iliad's comment, softly mumbling under his breath, "How could there be a cave-in, we're already inside a bloody cave."

Iliad rolled his eyes at Inferno's mumbled comment, able to make out the gist of what his rather annoyed companion was saying. While Iliad did agree that the exploration of caves was rather useless, he didn't share his companion Innola's sense of cynicism, and besides, he figured that if they were going to spend there time exploring a cave, they might as well try to make the best of the situation and try to make some good come out of it. His brain racking for ways to make the trip eventful and purpose-fulfilling, Iliad did not notice when Inferno began to drift off of the travel-worn path the duo had been following through the cave. It wasn't until Inferno spoke up about his apparent discovery that Iliad was actually brought back to the present moment. "Hey Iliad, get a load of this." Inferno said, his deep booming voice seeming to physically pull Iliad back to the present.

"Hm..What?" Iliad asked, coming back to his senses enough to pad off the trail and over by the large rocky wall where Inferno was standing looking at some unidentifiable object.

"Inferno, what are you looking at?" Iliad asked as he trod over, stopping right next to Inferno to peer in at the object the maned Innola was trying to make sense of.

Iliad had no clue himself what the object was, however he could tell how it grasped Inferno's usually hard earned attention. The object was shaped like a rock, jagged and tough, yet rather than the rough brownish grey color of the rest of the cave, this object was a luminescent blue, much like the blue of the sky on a clear afternoon. The object's color was so bright that against the dark shadowy shades of the cave, it almost seemed to glow. "So do you know what this is?" Inferno huffed, his breath stooping down to hover over the object while his words bounced off the wall back at the two Innola.

"Unfortunately not." Iliad replied, giving a small sigh, his brain racing for an explanation before eventually coming up with an idea. "While I don't know what this is, I bet Crater will. If we could just somehow bring him here..."

Iliad got halfway through his idea, before being interrupted by Inferno, of whom had an idea of his own. "Or we could just bring this to him."

Iliad turned to look at his companion upon the suggestion, rather unsure of how Inferno planned on getting the object, of which seemed attached to the cave, out of the cave and over to Crater. The maned Innola was also wondering how he was going to get the object out of the cave, but never one to waste time on thought, Inferno decided to reach out and clamp his strong muzzle onto the object, latching in his sharp fangs and beginning to pull, hoping that the force would be enough to break the object off of the stony pedestal upon which it was attached. Iliad knew better than to be surprised by his companion's choice of immediate action over a well thought out plan, yet he still couldn't help but be surprised by the audacity inhabited within him. The spined Innola knew he never would just try to pull the object off with his own sheer force, but perhaps that was why him and Inferno made such a good duo, each one's skill offset the other's downfall. In the current moment it seemed that Inferno's audacity was offsetting Iliad's hesitation as only a few minutes after the pulling of the object had began, a large CRACK echoed through the cave, and the Innola watched as the object came loose. "Not bad, Inferno." Iliad mumbled, the murmur of encouragement echoing out his muzzle like an afterthought.

Inferno, faintly picking up on the encouragement, grinned at Iliad through his object filed muzzle, the maned Innola obviously quite proud of his success. With a nod to tell Iliad that he was ready to leave, the Innola's mouth to full to utter out a statement, the maned and spined Innola duo proceeded to make their way back out of the cave. A mutual feeling of success and pride was shared between the duo as they exited the cave with their newly found object, the cave exploring trip having turned out to be more fruitful and productive than either would have guessed. It was after a few more minutes that the Innola arrived at the spot where they were supposed to be meeting back up with Crater, and both Innola were more than surprised when it was not just Crater who arrived. Standing next to their young rider was a small soft tan colored female maned Innola, of whom was introduced as "Aeneid." The female's arrival was so surprising that Inferno actually ended up dropping the object out of his mouth, and unfortunately, onto his paw. A few choice grumbles were made, but overall, it was surprise that seemed to hang over both Innola.

"Aeneid here is going to be our new companion. I suggest you treat her well." Crater said to Inferno and Iliad, giving both a stern look before becoming intrigued by their mysterious blue object.

"You found a crystal." Crater muttered as he examined the object, it's bright glow turning his face a shade of blue.

Aeneid was also intrigued by the object, the small female quickly pushing Inferno and Iliad aside to get a look at it, an action of which she was quick to apologize for, granted she did so in her own way. "Sorry, but don't stand in my way." She said, her voice as clear and strong as the sun on a cloud-less day.

The two male Innola exchanged a look upon Aeneid's sort of apology, however neither one said anything, choosing to instead, silently observe.
